The Lindenwood women's volleyball team swept the 2017 Capital Classic in Springfield, Ill. after back-to-back wins on Saturday over Concord and Ohio Valley.

The Lions dominated the first two sets of the day winning 25-12 and 25-14, but suffered a 25-23 loss in set three before closing out the match over Concord with a strong 25-7 victory in set four.Â
Alex Dahlstrom was on fire with 16 kills on a .419 hitting percentage and posted four blocks.Â
Alex Bogusz had 12 kills on a .346 hitting percentage and tallied seven blocks.

Lindenwood finished the weekend strong with straight-set wins over Ohio Valley with scores of 25-14, 25-15, and 25-17 respectively. Dahlstrom again dominated the net with 13 kills on a .385 hitting percentage while Bogusz and
Bailey Dvorak each had eight kills.

The Lions improve to 4-0 on the year after the 2017 Capital Classic. Lindenwood will travel to St. Augustine, Fla. on Friday to take on Wingate in the opening match of the Flagler Saints Classic.
