The Lindenwood women's soccer team lost 2-0 to No. 23 Missouri Western on Sunday at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
 
The Griffons scored both goals in the first half while the Lions had all three of their shots in the first 45 minutes.  Mary McGilvray had eight saves to keep the Lions within reach, but the Griffons were too strong in the win over Lindenwood.
 
The Lions drop to 3-5-0 on the year and 0-1-0 in the MIAA while No. 23 Missouri Western improves to 7-1-0 on the season and 1-0-0 in conference play.  Lindenwood will return to action on Friday in Hays, Kan. in a 7 p.m. matchup against Fort Hays State.
