The Lindenwood women's soccer team lost 2-1 to Fort Hays State on Friday night in Hays, Kan.

Becky Roberts put the Lions on the board in the first half with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute. The Tigers answered with a goal just before halftime to tie the game at 1-1. Fort Hays struck again in the 87th minute to take a 2-1 lead with little time left on the clock to secure a 2-1 victory.

Mary McGilvray stopped seven shots on the night as the Lions were outshot 22-5 in the game.

Lindenwood falls to 3-6-0 on the year and 0-2-0 in the MIAA while the Tigers improve to 5-2-2 on the season and 2-0-0 in conference play. The Lions will stay on the road for a 1 p.m. game against Nebraska-Kearney in Kearney, Neb. on Sunday.
