Rockhurst seized control of the match early on, scoring its first goal just 71 seconds into play. Umoh Ufot tallied what would prove to be the game-deciding goal, scoring from eight-yards out. The Hawks would add two more first-half goals to their total, and carried a 3-0 edge into halftime.

Aleksa Nenadic started in goal for Lindenwood, and was relieved in the second half by
Tim Licht. Licht finished with a game-high three shots, while Nenadic posted one save.
Rockhurst held a 22-1 edge in shots, and a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Ian Barger recorded Lindenwood's lone shot on goal.
With its latest setback, Lindenwood moves to 1-2-0 on the season. The Lions will return to action on Sunday afternoon during the 2:00 p.m. home-opening match versus Christian Brothers Buccaneers.
