The game would remain deadlocked at 1-1 until the 7:42 mark of the final frame. Megan Wagner created a Saints turnover in the offensive zone, took control of the puck, and sent a cross pass to Hannah Alt who had positioned herself right in front of the goal. Alt deposited the puck into the back of the net, picking up her sixth goal of the year.

St. Lawrence battled back, pulling their goaltender in favor of an extra attacker late in the third period. After just 26 seconds with the extra attacker, the Saints scored to tie the game with 2:39 remaining in regulation.
