The Lindenwood men's and women's tennis teams lost to Maryville on Thursday in St. Charles, Mo. The Men lost 6-3 with two wins in singles and one in doubles, while the women tallied just one singles win in an 8-1 loss.
Michele Gaspari earned a singles victory in three sets while
Carlos Clerins handled his opponent by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.
Antoine Barraud and
Tudor Ghenea picked up the only doubles win for the Lions in a 6-3 victory.
Alexis McCarthy scored the lone point on the women's side as she won 7-5 and 7-6 in her match. Both the men's and women's programs fall to 0-2 on the season. While the women have completed their fall schedule, the men will travel to Charleston, Ill. this weekend as they compete in the Eastern Illinois Tournament.
