MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's soccer team defeated the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers by a final score of 2-1 on Friday evening from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. The win improves Lindenwood's record to 6-5-2 and 3-2-1 from within the MIAA.
Lindenwood took an early 1-0 lead as
Sammi Gregory scored in the seventh minute of the match.
The Lions extended their lead to a two-goal margin in the 31st minute as
Emily Jowers found the back of the net.
Lindenwood maintained its 2-0 lead through the end of the first half.
Nebraska-Kearney got on the board in the 62nd minute, cutting the Lindenwood lead to 2-1.
However, that would be as close as the visitors would get, as the Lions protected their lead for the remainder of regulation.
