MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood men's soccer team fell to No. 10 Fort Hays State by a final score of 3-1 on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. The loss moves Lindenwood's record to 8-5-3 and 2-3-1 from inside the MIAA.
The visiting Tigers broke a scoreless tie in the 34th minute, and carried the one-goal edge into halftime.
Fort Hays State added to its lead in the 66th minute, taking a two-goal lead on Lindenwood.
In the 71st minute,
Johannes Brendle deposited the ball into the back of the net, helping the Lions climb within one goal of the Tigers.
Fort Hays State regained its two-goal advantage in the 79th minute.
The visiting team protected its lead for the remainder of regulation and earned the 3-1 victory.
