Hutcheson Scores in Defeat at No. 14 Fort Hays State

MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision at No. 14 Fort Hays State on Sunday afternoon in Hays, Kan. The loss drops Lindenwood's record to 5-4-2 and 1-2-1 from within the MIAA.
 
Fort Hays jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the fifth minute of the match, scoring what would prove to be the only goal of the opening half.
 
The home team extended its lead to a two-goal margin in the 56th minute.
 
In the 72nd minute, Lindenwood cut its deficit in half, as Thomas Hutcheson scored his sixth goal of the season.
 
Hutcheson's score would be the final goal of the match, as Lindenwood was unable to notch an equalizing score.
