MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood men's soccer team secured a 3-2 non-conference victory over the Quincy Hawks on Tuesday evening from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. The win improves Lindenwood's record to 6-4-2 on the season.
Lindenwood scored three times during the first half, while managing to hold the visiting Hawks scoreless over the first 45 minutes.
Gaspar Alvarez opened the scoring in the 11th minute, off of a cross pass from
Thomas Hutcheson.
Hutcheson followed up his first-half assist with back-to-back unassisted goals, helping Lindenwood extend its first-half lead to a three-goal margin.
Lindenwood was held off of the scoreboard in the second half, while Quincy added two goals. The Hawks scored in the 82nd minute and the 86th minute, but were unable to find the back of the net for the third time before time expired.
Aleska Nenadic made the start in goal for Lindenwood, picking up his fifth win of the season.

- For Hutcheson, the five-point performance was a single-game season-high, and the second most points he has scored in a single-game during his collegiate career. Hutcheson had a six-point effort on Oct. 5, 2016 against Oakland City.
- Hutcheson's multi-goal game was his second two-goal outing this season, and the fifth of his career.
- Hutcheson leads Lindenwood in goals (8) and points (19). Both marks match his season-high totals from the 2016 season.
- Hutcheson extended his point streak to five consecutive matches dating back to Sep. 28 against Northeastern State.
- Alvarez picked up his sixth goal of the season, the second-highest total on the team.
- Alvarez's six goals this season give him 12 points, a new single-season career-high.
- Nenadic made four saves in goal for Lindenwood.
- The three first-half goals for the Lions were the most the team has scored in a half this season.
- Lindenwood was outshot 17-7, and Quincy also held a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal.
