GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team (3-8-2, 1-4-1 CHA) lost 1-0 to Minnesota State-Mankato (6-5-2, 2-5-1 WCHA) on Friday at Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo.

Minnesota State scored the lone goal at the 12:27 mark of the first period to take a 1-0 lead which stood as the game winner. The Lions continued their physical style of play which resulted in a few quality looks as the Lions took 41 shots. Lindenwood had the faceoff advantage 25-21, but the Mavericks outshot the Lions 23-18.Â
Sophie Wolf had a great game in net as she kept the Lions in the game with a few key saves at big moments in the contest.

Shannon Morris-Reade led the team with four blocked shots, while
Megan Wagner was 11-for-18 in the faceoff dot. Both teams were scoreless on the power play as a total of 33 penalty minutes were called in the game.
