GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team (3-9-2, 1-4-1 CHA) lost 2-0 to Minnesota State-Mankato (7-5-2, 2-5-1 WCHA) on Saturday afternoon at Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo.
 
The Mavericks controlled the pace all game and found both of their goals in the second period.  Minnesota State outshot the Lions 30-17, even though the Lions had four power plays to just one for the Mavericks.
 
Jolene deBruyn made 28 stops to keep the Lions in the game including 12 in the opening frame.  Minnesota State also controlled the faceoff dot with 30 wins on 53 total draws.  Courtney Ganske led the Lions in blocked shots with four, while the team tallied 12 in the game.
