GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team (3-10-2, 1-5-1 CHA) lost game one of the weekend series to RIT (4-8-4, 2-4-0 CHA) by a final of 5-2 on Friday in Rochester, N.Y.

The Lions fell behind 1-0 in the first minute of the game, but tied the game at 1-1 with a goal at 16:02 in the second period.Â
Alexandra Larson netted her second goal of the season with assists going to
Kirsten Martin and
Maddison Stitt. RIT quickly responded with a goal nearing the final minute of the period to take a one-goal lead into the second intermission.

The Tigers put the game out of reach in the third period with three goals in less than four minutes to take a commanding 5-1 lead.Â
Sierra Burt scored a short-handed goal with 3:04 left in the game, but it was too little too late in the 5-2 loss. Lindenwood was 0-for-4 on the power play, and had to kill off six power plays for RIT, in which the Tigers scored once.
