GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-6-1, 1-3-0 CHA) earned its first CHA win over Mercyhurst (5-6-0, 5-2-0 CHA) on Saturday night at Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo. by a final of 4-1. Three Lindenwood players tallied two points in the game while
Jolene deBruyn made 30 stops.

Nicole Guagliardo opened the scoring with her third goal of the season at the 15-minute mark of the opening period. Early in the second period, Guagliardo threw a beautiful pass to
Megan Wagner who tipped the puck in to put the Lions up 2-0. Mercyhurst cut the Lindenwood lead to 2-1 at the 1:20 mark of the third period after netting a power play goal.

Hannah Alt buried a shot from close range to regain the two goal lead with less than eight minutes to play in the game.Â
Alexandra Larson got her second point of the game after scoring the empty net goal from her own zone to give Lindenwood the 4-1 victory. deBruyn was strong in net for the Lions as she made 30 saves on 31 shots as the only goal came on the power play for the Lakers. Mercyhurst was 1-for-5 on power plays in the game.
