GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team (3-13-2) dropped game two of the weekend series with St. Cloud State by a 2-1 margin on Sunday in St. Cloud, Minn.
 
The Lions struggled in the opening period as they were outshot 14-5.  The Huskies scored a goal at the 19:01 mark of the opening frame to take a late 1-0 lead.  Sophie Wolf made 13 saves in the first as she helped kill off a penalty in which she faced four shots.
 
Lindenwood made adjustments on both sides of the ice as the Lions had 16 shots to just seven for the Huskies.  St. Cloud State took a 2-0 lead at the 12:03 mark of the second period, but the Lions quickly responded.  Jada Burke found the back of the net less than two minutes later to cut the deficit to one goal.  The power play goal was the second goal on the weekend for Burke, and was assisted by Taylor Kirwan and Shannon Morris-Read.
 
The Lions could not find the game-tying goal in the final period as St. Cloud State won the season-series with a 2-1 victory.
