Jada Burke Scores Hat Trick, Women's Hockey Wins 12-0

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team (4-13-2) dominated Post University on Saturday by a 12-0 margin as the Lions scored six goals in the second period.  Jada Burke scored the first hat trick since Shara Jasper on October 30, 2015.
 
Jane Jacobs recorded the first goal of her career to start the scoring in the first period just 2:46 into the game.  Maddison Stitt also netted the first goal of her career with a slap shot from the blue line halfway through the second period.  Kayla Martinez added her first goal as well as it came at 5:02 of the second period.
 
Nikki Friesen and Burke each had five points on the night to lead the team, while Friesen tallied four assists in the game.  The four assists in the game tied the program record, which has not been done since 2015.  Nine different Lions registered a goal, while 15 different players had at least one point in the contest.  Sophie Wolf earned her first victory of her career as she made one save in the first, and another in the third period.
 
The Lions set a program record for goals in a game with 12, the previous record was nine goals scored in February of 2012.  Lindenwood tallied 23 assists which more than doubled the previous record of 12 assists in one game.  The Lions had 74 shots in the game, and Lindenwood won the faceoff game by a 41-13 margin.
