The Lindenwood women's hockey team fell to No. 10 Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Lady Lions were bested by a 5-0 score.
The Colonials sealed the victory in the second period with three goals that made the score 4-0. The first two goals in the period came less than five minutes into the period when Robert Morris scored twice in an 18-second span.
Robert Morris took 75 shots in the game, compared to 47 for the Lady Lions, and it had a 37-20 advantage in shots on goal. Lindenwood went scoreless in five power-play opportunities, while Robert Morris was one-for-four.
Lauren Hennessey made her collegiate debut in goal and had 32 saves on the day.
Christiana von Aulock had a team-high five blocks, one more than
Taylor Girard.
Cierra Paisley led the team with four shots on goal.
Lindenwood falls to 8-17-1 on the season and 6-10-0 in conference play. The Lady Lions will have their final home series of the season next weekend against Syracuse.
