OVERVIEW
Lindenwood sophomore Stormee Galka was 5-for-8 from the plate to help softball to an opening day split with Quincy. The Lions captured the first game 9-7, before dropping game two 10-2. Galka got the win in game one and Kimmie Fozzard was tabbed with the loss in game two.

NOTABLE
- Stormee Galka led the Lindenwood offense going 5-8 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored.
- Paige Callans also had a good showing at the plate, going 2-5 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs.
- Hannah Johnson was 3-5  with two RBIs and a run scored against the Hawks. She also drew a walk and was hit by pitch for a .714 on-base percentage in the series.
- As a team, the Lions hit .315 with a .387 on-base percentage and a .370 slugging percentage.
- Freshman Marina Esparza threw in the second game, holding the hawks to a .231 batting average over 4.0 IP of work.

UP NEXT
The Lions have scheduled a home tournament with Lindenwood hosting Davenport and Kentucky Wesleyan of Saturday and Sunday. The Lions will play Davenport at 10 a.m. before hosting Kentucky Wesleyan at 12:30 p.m. to open the tournament on Saturday.
