Baseball Wins Two Games on Saturday

The Lindenwood baseball team swept Union (Tenn.) on Saturday by scores of 6-3 and 2-1 at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.
 
Game One Overview: Lindenwood 6, Union (Tenn.) 3
Andrew Eilers tossed 5 2/3 innings with six strikeouts to earn his first victory of the season while Nate Hillermann threw 1 1/3 scoreless to register the save.  Lindenwood broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning with a sacrifice fly by Wes Degener.  The Lions hit back-to-back RBI singles and Connor Behrens capped off the inning with a two-RBI single to left field.  Kyle Teter closed out the game with a catch down the right field line and doubled up the runner at first to give Lindenwood a 6-3 victory.

Game Two Overview: Lindenwood 2, Union (Tenn.) 1
The Lions jumped on the board in the first inning after a double to right center by Drew Quinones allowed Wes Degener to score from first base.  The Bulldogs answered back in the third to tie the game at 1-1.  Degener broke the tie in the fifth inning with a sacrifice fly to centerfield, allowing Tyler Muehling to score from third.  Kyle Hentis registered a huge strikeout to end the threat in the top of the sixth and earned his first win of the year.
