Senior Day for the Lindenwood gymnastics team is typically one of its highest scoring meets of the year, and this year's seniors made sure 2018 was no exception.
Kierstin Sokolowski and
Kayla McMullan led the Lady Lions to their highest score of the season on Sunday afternoon in Hyland Arena with a 195.175 against Iowa State and Illinois State.

The two seniors combined for a score of 39.200 on the day. Sokolowski competed in the first three events and scored a 9.800 or higher in every one. She had a 9.825 on the vault and beam, and a 9.800 on the bars. She finished in the top five overall in all three events. McMullan was the team's senior on the floor, and she performed a great routine that scored a 9.750. She was second on the team, and ninth overall in the event.

Led by their two seniors, Lindenwood put together its best meet of the season. The Lady Lions had their best beam score with a 49.025, and their second-best vault and bars marks with a 48.750 and 48.875, respectively. The team's floor performances scored a 48.525, and its overall mark was the fourth-highest in program history for a regular season event, and the eighth-highest for all events. It was the tenth time that the program scored over 195 at a competition.

Ryan Henry had one of the top individual performances on the day with a 9.850 on the bars, which finished first overall in the competition.
Emily Milliet led the team with a 9.850 on the beam, which was good for second-place.
Aleah Leman paced the Lady Lions on the floor with a 9.825 mark, which tied for third overall.

No. 25 Iowa State was the team winner for the afternoon with a score of 196.450. Illinois State finished third with a 193.050 mark.

Lindenwood will go on the road next Sunday to the University of Illinois for a tri-meet that includes the host school and Bowling Green University.
