Baseball Swept by No. 11 Missouri Southern

The Lindenwood baseball team lost 8-0 to No. 11 Missouri Southern in the final game of the series on Sunday in Joplin, Mo.

The Lions had a strong pitching performance from freshman Tyler Cassmeyer who tossed seven innings and struck out eight batters.  Cassmeyer allowed just three hits through six innings, but Missouri Southern broke the tie with three runs on three hits in the seventh inning.  The host Lions tallied eight runs on eight hits while Lindenwood registered seven hits in the final game of the series.
