The Lindenwood baseball quickly lost its lead as Northwest Missouri stole game one of the series by a 10-6 margin on Saturday at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lions had a strong pitching performance from
Kyle Hentis who tossed seven innings and tallied 11 strikeouts. Hentis allowed just six hits and two earned runs before the Bearcats got hot in the sixth inning.Â
DJ Miller hit an RBI double to open the scoring and
Drew Quinones drove in Miller on an RBI single to put Lindenwood in front 2-0.

The Lions scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth to hold a 6-0 lead and the momentum. The Bearcats found their groove at the plate and scored 10 runs on 12 hits in the final four innings. Lindenwood committed an error in the sixth inning and the ninth inning allowing the Bearcats produce runs.
