No. 3 Women’s Lacrosse Scores its Most Goals of the Season at Adams State

The No. 3 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team established a new season-high for goals in a game with 23 during Monday afternoon's victory at Adams State. The 21-goal margin of victory is the Lions largest win since defeating Oklahoma Baptist 26-3 on April 21, 2017.
 
Lindenwood never trailed in the game and scored 18 consecutive times to begin the contest. The Lions held a 14-0 lead at halftime, before outscoring the home team by a 9-2 count during the second half of play.
 
Cassie Stucklen led all scorers with a game-high six goals and seven points. Stucklen's third goal of the game was the 100th of her career, as she became just the seventh player in program history to join the 100-goal club.
 
Hannah Doughty recorded six points, totaling three goals and three assists. Maria Johnson had a season-high five-point performance, consisting of three goals and two assists.
 
Garland Fiser set a new career-high with four points in the game. Fiser had two goals and two assists. Sarah Cromer tied for the team-lead with three assists, finishing the afternoon with four total points.
 
Ellie Faulk and Hailey Gallant each had three points for Lindenwood, while Lena Kuglitsch netted the first goal of her career.
 
For the second-consecutive game, Shannon Modl established a new single-game career-high in draw controls with seven.
 
Rachel Ortell registered her eighth win of the season in goal for the Lions. Ortell made one save on the only shot on goal she faced. Aly Smith relieved Ortell during the first half of play, stopping three of the five shots sent in her direction.
 
Lindenwood moves to 8-0 and 3-0 in RMAC play following the victory. The Lions will return to action on Friday afternoon in St. Charles, Mo. for a 12:00 p.m. game against Colorado Mesa.
