The Lindenwood baseball team lost to Central Oklahoma 4-3 on Thursday afternoon in Edmond, Okla. after surrendering two runs in the ninth.

The Lions had a great pitching performance by
Blake Beckmann as he did not allow a run in his 4 1/3 innings of work.
Ian Nelson put the Lions on the board with a solo-shot to right field in the top of the second inning.
Ryan Sosnowski drove in
Dominic Revetta on a double to left field and
Vince Saladino later scored on a wild pitch to put Lindenwood in front 3-0 after the top of the seventh. The Bronchos scored a run in the bottom of the frame to make it a two-run ballgame.
Central Oklahoma pressed again in the eighth inning and plated just one run as
Kyle Hentis was able to keep Lindenwood ahead by a run. The Bronchos scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to take game one of the three-game series.
