The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team fell on the road on Tuesday afternoon with a 14-6 setback in Indianapolis, Ind. against Indianapolis.
After a competitive first half, in which each team scored five times, the Greyhounds pulled away in the second half. Indianapolis scored seven times in the third quarter, and the Lions didn't score in the half until less than three minutes remained.
In the final half, Indianapolis outshot Lindenwood by a 19-5 margin, helping them have a 42-26 advantage for the game. For the game, Indianapolis had 23 more groundballs, including a 22-7 edge in the final 30 minutes.
Colin Domek scored twice for Lindenwood, and
Sam Heaton had one goal and one assist.
Max Troha led the team with three groundballs, and
Max Hood had a team-high five caused turnovers.
Connor Ciemiewicz made nine saves in goal.
Lindenwood falls to 5-5 on the season. The Lions have a neutral site contest on Saturday afternoon in Kansas City, Mo., when they take on Westminster at 1 p.m.
