The Lindenwood baseball team won the final game of the three-game series against Washburn by a final of 7-4 on Sunday in Topeka, Kan.

The Lions jumped out to an early lead that started with a run in the top of the first inning.Â
DJ Miller hit a two-out single up the middle to bring in
Ryan Sosnowski and
Conor Behrens drove in two runs on a single to put the Lions up 4-0 after two innings. The Ichabods scored two runs in the bottom of the third to cut the lead in half.Â
Drew Quinones hit an RBI sacrifice fly and
Dominic Revetta drove in Miller on a single to put the lead back to four runs.

Washburn again cut the Lindenwood lead down to two runs after a pair in the bottom of the sixth inning. Miller tripled in the top of the eighth to add the insurance run, making it a 7-4 ballgame.Â
Tyler Cassmeyer tossed six innings and allowed four runs on eight hits with four strikeouts.Â
Michael Cessna and
Kyle Hentis combined to throw the final three innings with just one hit allowed and each tallied a strikeout.
