Women's rugby earned three shutouts and posted a 4-2 record, ultimately finishing third at the Tropical 7's Tournament March 30-31 in Orlando, Florida.
In preliminary play on Friday, the Lady Lions stopped the Central Alberta Predators 37-0 and the Trent University Women 51-0, but Lindenwood concluded the day with a tough 17-15 loss to Life University.
The Lady Lions began Saturday with a convincing 43-0 victory over the Brock University Women, but then suffered another close setback at the hands of the University of Guelph (Canada) 24-22. Lindenwood rebounded with a 22-19 win in a rematch against Brock University to wrap up the tournament.
The Lady Lions travel to Marietta, Georgia for the Life University 7's Tournament April 7.
