MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood men's soccer team secured a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory over the Harding Bisons on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. Following their second overtime win of the season, the Lions improve to 3-2-1.
With Lindenwood trailing by one goal midway through the first half,
Joshua Scholl netted his second goal in as many games to pull the Lions even with the Bisons at 1-1.
Harding would score with 92 seconds left in the opening half, to take a 2-1 edge into halftime.
Lindenwood's
Johannes Brendle put home a rebound opportunity in the 75th minute, to again help the Lions pull even with the Bisons. Brendle's goal would be the final score of regulation, and sent the game to overtime deadlocked at 2-2.
After just 73 seconds of play in overtime,
Gaspar Alvarez headed in a free-kick from
Fernando Cordero to give Lindenwood a dramatic 3-2 come-from-behind.
