MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss at Upper Iowa on Sunday afternoon in Fayette, Iowa. The loss moves Lindenwood's record to 3-3-1 and 0-1-0 from within the MIAA.
Upper Iowa scored the only goal of the first half in the 29th minute of the match. The Peacocks maintained the one-goal advantage into the second half.
The Lions evened the score in the 75th minute, as
Gaspar Alvarez picked up his third goal of the season.
With time winding down in regulation, Upper Iowa was awarded a penalty kick with 1:45 remaining in the second half. The Peacocks converted their penalty kick opportunity, scoring what would prove to be the ultimate game-winning goal.
