Gregory and Wipke Score in Road Victory for Women’s Soccer

MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's soccer team earned a 2-0 road victory at Northwest Missouri State on Friday afternoon. The win, the first win away from Hunter Stadium this season for the Lions, pushes the team's record to 3-3-1 on the season.

Lindenwood's Sammi Gregory broke a scoreless tie in the 33rd minute, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead. Gregory's goal came unassisted, and was the lone score of the first half.

The Lions added to their lead in the 53rd minute, as Jordan Wipke converted a penalty-kick opportunity, sending Lindenwood in front by two goals.

Lauren Greenstein kept the home team off of the scoreboard all afternoon, stopping each of the 10 shots she faced in goal, to pick up her second win of the season.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Gregory's goal was her first of the season, and also the first game-winning goal of her Lindenwood career.
- Wipke also notched her first goal of the season on a penalty-kick chance. The penalty-kick goal was the first for Lindenwood as a team since Kat Roe's penalty-kick score on Oct. 30, 2016.
- Greenstein's 10-save performance was a single-game high for a Lindenwood goalkeeper this season.
- The 10 saves for Greenstein were the second most she has made in a single game as a Lion. Greenstein had an 11-save effort at Central Missouri on Oct. 28, 2016.
- Lindenwood and Northwest Missouri each had 12 shots, and each team was awarded four corner kicks.
