The Lindenwood women's gymnastics team began its quest for a fifth consecutive MIC Championship on Sunday afternoon during its season-opening meet at Huff Hall in Champaign, Ill. The quad meet featured Illinois, Kentucky, and Oregon State. Lindenwood posted a score of 192.525 on Sunday, the second-best season-opening score in program history.

- Mitchell finished tied for third in the all-around competition and established a new personal-best score with a mark of 38.850.
- Mitchell had her best performance of the afternoon on the bars, completing the event with a score of 9.750, tied for the seventh best score of the day.
- Henry's bar routine received a score of 9.775, which also tied for seventh best score of the day.
- Henry also competed in the all-around competition, posting a 37.875 over her four routines.

Taylor Colwell matched her second-best career score on the bars with a 9.725.

Andavea Alexander and Mitchell each added scores of 9.700 on the beam.
- Lindenwood's best performance as a team came on the bars, where the team had a 48.475.
