No. 6 Lindenwood wrestling defeated No. 23 Newman by a 36-7 final on Friday night in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.

Carlos Jacquez started off the night with a quick pin in 23 seconds to give the Lions a 6-0 lead.
Tanner Hitchcock added three points, while No. 8
Danny Swan picked up a 10-2 major decision at 141 pounds to make it a 13-0 advantage.
Nate Trepanier nearly pulled the upset over No. 2 Tyler Mies, but Trepanier surrendered a couple of points late in the four-point loss.

Kyle Jolas built on the lead with his decision victory at 165 pounds. No. 9
Colton Clingenpeel dominated his opponent with a 16-1 tech fall, and
Miles Nuessle got the late call to start which resulted in a pin at 1:37 of his 197-pound bout.
Tage McNutt capped off the night with a late takedown in the final seconds to secure a 7-4 decision victory.
