The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-3-1) will head to Potsdam, N.Y. this weekend to take on No. 4 Clarkson University (4-1-1) in a two-game series.  The first game is set to start at 6:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. central) on Friday, while the final game of the series will begin at 3:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. central) on Saturday.

Lindenwood and Clarkson will faceoff for the first time this weekend.  The Lions are coming off a 1-0-1 weekend against Union College, while the Golden Knights had a 1-0-1 weekend against No. 8 Robert Morris in back-to-back overtime games.

The Lions found a late goal in the second game against Union to force overtime in the 2-2 tie.  Lindenwood was led by its youth the night before, as three freshman and one sophomore registered at least one point in the game.  Madilynn Hickey scored the first goal of the game, and pitched in an assist on the second goal to lead the game with two points.

Clarkson had a wild weekend against Robert Morris in a 3-3 tie on the first night and a 6-5 win in the second game.  In total, the two teams combined for 31 penalties, resulting in 11 goals scored during a man-advantage situation.

The Lions are led by freshmen Madilynn Hickey and Lokelani Antonio, who each have three points this year.  Hannah Alt has netted a team-leading two goals in 2019-20, while taking 20 shots.

Annika Asplundh has been a strong netminder for the Lions, posting a 1.99 goals against average with a .944 save percentage in her four games played this year.  Asplundh earned her first victory Friday night against Union College, making 30 saves.
