On Monday, the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) named
Drew Seers at the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week for the second-straight week. Seers has now been recognized by the GLVC three times this season, after having yet another outstanding game on the gridiron.
Seers made 19 tackles on Saturday, including nine solo stops. In the 33-27 win, Seers made 3.5 tackles for loss and tallied one quarterback hurry. Seers made three solo tackles and rushed the quarterback on a drive that forced Quincy to turn the ball over on downs.
The St. Louis Mo. native set a new career high for tackles in a season with 106, as he compiled 96 last season. Seers has his eyes set on cracking the top-four of the Lindenwood record book for tackles in a season. Former Lindenwood standout, Connor Harris holds each of the first four spots with season totals of 184, 152, 138, and 126 tackles in one season.
Lindenwood will look to knock off No. 7 UIndy on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
