GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood women's basketball seniors Kallie Bildner and Lindsay Medlen each scored 11 points to lead the Lions in a 89-61 loss at NCAA DI Illinois State. The game was the Lions' first exhibition contest of the year. Lindenwood was down 44-26 at halftime, but made adjustments and came out firing with 27 points in the third quarter. In the second half, the Lions shot 43.3% from the field and 38.9% from three, compared to 34.4% and 20% in the first half. 

NOTABLE
- Kallie Bildner scored 11 points on 4-5 shooting with five rebounds. The senior forward shot 3-4 from beyond the arc against the Redbirds.
- Lindsay Medlen also tallied 11 points, while tacking on four rebounds and a team-high five assists. 
- Returner Devin Fuhring earned the start and responded with 10 points on 5-11 shooting. She also had two assists.
- Newcomer Hennessey Handy also started for the Lions, picking up 10 points on 4-6 shooting (2-3 from three). 
- Ellen McCorkle provided a spark off the bench, shooting a perfect 3-3 from the field and 2-2 from the line for eight points. She also had six rebounds. 
- The Lions distributed the ball all around the floor, posting 15 assists to 13 for Illinois State.
- Despite playing tough competition, Lindenwood fought hard on the boards, gathering 32 boards to the Redbirds' 38.

The Lions play their second of two exhibition games on Tuesday, Nov. 5 when they travel to DI Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Ill. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. (CT).
