Asplundh Makes 40 Saves in 1-0 Loss for Women's Hockey

The Lindenwood women's hockey team (1-3-0) lost a tough 1-0 game to Bemidji State (1-1-0) on Saturday afternoon in Bemidji, Minn.
 
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions faced 41 shots in the game, including 21 in the second period alone.  Annika Asplundh played a great game in net, stopping 40 shots in her second start this season.  Lindenwood only registered 13 shots in the game, but compiled 18 blocked shots in the defensive zone.
 
Megan Wagner led the Lions in the faceoff dot with 15 wins, while Lauren Dabrowski won four of her five draws taken.  Cierra Paisley and Kayla Martinez led the Lions with three blocked shots each, while Martinez registered three shots in the third period.
