McBeth Scores Sixth Goal in Loss at No. 22 Bellarmine

The Lindenwood men's soccer team was defeated by the No. 22 Bellarmine Knights on Sunday afternoon from Louisville, Ky. Lindenwood was on the wrong end of a 3-1 final score.

MATCH OVERVIEW
Lindenwood scored first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute of the match. Luke McBeth picked up his team-leading sixth score of the season to give the Lions the one-goal lead.

Lindenwood clung to its lead for a majority of the opening half, until Bellarmine evened the score with just over five minutes remaining before intermission. 

The two teams entered halftime deadlocked at 1-1.

Bellarmine controlled the second half, accounting for each of the two goals scored during the frame. The first goal for the Knights came in the 46th minute of the match, before they added an insurance goal in the 75th minute.

The home team protected its lead through the final whistle, and went on to the 3-1 victory.
