The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-5-2, 0-1-0 CHA) lost its conference opener 3-0 to Mercyhurst (6-2-1, 3-0-0 CHA) on Friday night in Erie, Pa.

GAME OVERVIEW
Annika Asplundh was able to keep the Lions in the game by making 18 saves in the first period, allowing just one goal. Asplundh came back in the second period to make 15 more saves, keeping the game at 1-0 in favor of Mercyhurst.

The Lions blocked 21 shots as a team, but the Lakers found two more goals in the third to take game one of the weekend series. Mercyhurst is now 3-0-0 in CHA play, while the Lions drop to 0-1-0.
