Women's Hockey Ties St. Cloud State on Friday

The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-8-3) tied 2-2 with St. Cloud State on Friday night at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.
 
GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood scored the first goal of the game at the 9:44 mark of the first period as time ticked away on the power play.  Kayla Martinez threw the puck near the net, allowing Lillian Marchant to set up Gigi Pora for her second goal of the season.  St. Cloud State quickly responded with a goal just one minute later, tying the game at 1-1.
 
The Huskies took their first lead of the game at the 3:40 of the second period, making it a 2-1 game in favor of St. Cloud State.  Megan Wagner responded two minutes later with a great move in front of the net to tie the game at 2-2 with plenty of hockey yet to play.  The intensity picked up in the third period, but no goals we scored as the game ended in a 2-2 tie after a scoreless overtime period.
