Women's Basketball Leads Wire-to-Wire in Quincy Win

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood women's basketball junior guard Hennessey Handy made a layup at 9:48 in the first quarter and the Lions never looked back in a 71-48 win over Quincy on the road. Though the Lions and Hawks are both in the GLVC, tonight's game was a non-conference matchup. The Lions remain undefeated on the season with a perfect 4-0 record. 

NOTABLE
- Hennessey Handy was the Lions' leading scorer with 18 points on 8-19 shooting from the field. She also had three rebounds and three assists.
- Kallie Bildner picked up her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The senior forward also shot 2-4 from beyond the arc and 6-11 from the field.
- Julia Ruzevich contributed across the board against her old team, tallying 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, six steals and two blocks.
- The six steals from Ruzevich are tied for the sixth-most in a single game in Lindenwood history. Lindsay Medlen also had six steals on Nov. 16, 2018 against Illinois Springfield.
- Medlen was 3-8 from the field for seven points while adding four assists and two rebounds. 
- Lindenwood won the battle of the boards 41-30, marking the fourth consecutive game the Lions have out-rebounded their opponents by double-digits.
- In the paint, Lindenwood out-scored Quincy 48-26 and had a 11-3 edge in second-chance points.
- The Lions gathered 19 assists steals tonight. The Lions have recorded at least 15 assists in every game this season.
- Lindenwood's 12 steals are a season-best for the Lions. The last time Lindenwood recorded 12 assists was on Nov. 16, 2018 against Illinois Springfield.

The Lions open conference play next Tuesday when they travel to UMSL. The first GLVC basketball in Lindenwood history begins at 5:30 p.m.
