The Lindewnood women's hockey team (2-11-3, 0-5-0 CHA) lost 7-0 to Syracuse (4-12-1, 3-1-1 CHA) on Friday night at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Orange jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead after a goal at the 1:20 mark of the first period. Syracuse went on the add three more goals in the period to take a commanding 4-0 lead. Lindenwood struggled to find any momentum, as the Orange poured on two more goal in the second period to go up by six goals. The final goal of the game came at the 8:26 mark of the third period, giving Syracuse a 7-0 victory to open the weekend series.

The Lions have been hindered with multiple injuries, which led to
Cierra Paisley making her first appearance in goal. Paisley made 31 saves on the night, and surrendered just one power play goal on four attempts for Syracuse.
