The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-11-3, 0-6-0 CHA) lost 13-1 to Syracuse (5-12-1, 4-1-1 CHA) on Saturday at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions played strong in the first half of the opening period, before Syracuse broke the tie at the 11:05 mark. The Orange added a goal just two minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. Lindenwood struggled in the second period, allowing two power-play goals and one short-handed goal, as the Orange tallied seven goals in the second frame.

Lindenwood allowed four more goals in the third period, but
Maddison Stitt put the Lions on the board with her third goal of the season at the 14:58 mark.Â
Meara Ryan posted her third assist on the season, while
Megan Wagner dished out her third assist as well.Â
Madilynn Hickey put on the goalie pads for the first time on Saturday, making 32 saves in the game.
