Baseball Swept by No. 18 Mississippi College on Sunday

The Lindenwood baseball team (2-6) struggled on Sunday as the Lions were swept by No. 18 Mississippi College (5-1) by scores to 15-2 and 10-0 in Clinton, Miss.
 
GAME ONE OVERVIEW
The Choctaws piled on the runs in the first game as they scored 11 runs in the first two innings.  The Lions did not help their cause by committing three fielding errors on top of the 15 hits for Mississippi College.  Lindenwood finally scored a pair of runs in the top of the sixth including an RBI single by Alex Gauspohl.  Jonathan Reese had a good outing on the mound as he went 2.0 innings and allowed just one hit in his Lindenwood debut.

GAME TWO OVERVIEW
Mississippi College picked up right where it left off in the second game as the Choctaw scored five runs in the first two innings.  The Choctaws again needed two innings later in the game to add five more runs, creating a 10-0 margin.  The Lions had just two hits in the game, but Lindenwood stranded eight runners as the team drew three walks and had two hit batters.
