OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood softball team opened the season 2-0 after winning both games of a doubleheader against Quincy at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.
Stormee Galka won the first game, hurling a complete-game shutout. Freshman
Madison Corwell got the W in game two, making her first collegiate appearance. In both games combined,
Austine Pauley was 4-7 with three runs scored, a double and a triple.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- In game one,
Austine Pauley led off and collected three of Lindenwood's seven hits. She also scored two runs and tallied a double.
- Freshman
Taylor Bushman earned the start in left field and went 2-3 in her collegiate debut.

Stormee Galka went the distance, throwing 7.0 shutout innings. She struck out five and walked a pair.

Megan Clark and
Courtney Klosinski each stole a base in the contest.
- In the second game, the Lions top performer was freshman
Madison Corwell, who entered the game as a relief pitcher. She threw 3.1 innings out of the bullpen, allowing two hits and one earned run while striking out three.
- Corwell also performed at the plate, going 2-2 with a, double, a run scored and an RBI.

Hanna Porter and Klosinski also had doubles in game two.
- Pauley hit a triple against the Hawks in game two.

Sam Dean was the lone stolen base for the Lions in the second game.
UP NEXT
Due to projected rain and snow, the Lions will not be traveling to Nashville, Tenn. for the Music City Invitational. The Lions next games are scheduled for Feb. 22 at the Rosemont Dome Invitational. Lindenwood will take on Wisconsin-Parkside and Grand Valley State in the first day of the tournament.
