Second-Half Surge Lifts No. 18 Men's Lacrosse to Victory

GAME OVERVIEW
The No. 18 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team doubled up Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon, winning by a final score of 14-7. The Lions trailed the visiting Railsplitters by one goal at halftime, but then outscored the visitors by an 11-3 margin over the final two quarters en route to their second victory to begin the season.

After a scoreless first quarter, Lindenwood scored the game's first two goals after 5:11 of play in the second frame. Sean Darroch and Andrew Hasz netted the Lindenwood scores, which helped the team establish an early 2-0 lead. Lincoln Memorial responded by scoring four of the next five goals before halftime, and entered the intermission with a narrow 4-3 advantage.

The Lions dominated the third-quarter action, outscoring the Railsplitters by a 7-1 margin in the period, to take a commanding 10-5 lead into the final frame. Lindenwood's Carter Collins scored three times during the third quarter.

Lindenwood's strong play stretched into the fourth quarter, where it added four more goals to its total and limited Lincoln Memorial to just two scores. Lindenwood's impressive second-half effort pushed the final score to 14-7 in its favor.

- Darroch posted his second hat trick of the season, scoring four goals in the game. Darroch scored two goals in each half.
- Collins also earned his second hat trick of the season, totaling three goals, all in the third quarter.
- Both Collins and Darroch are tied for the team lead with seven goals.
- Leonard Jones had a single-game career-high with four assists, tied for the second-most in program history.
- Glazier and G. Brunsvold had three-point performances, consisting of two goals and one assist.
- Andrew Hasz scored twice, while Mathieu Jung dished out two assists.
