GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood baseball team (8-13, 3-6 MIAA) lost 5-2 to Pittsburg State (10-9, 5-4 MIAA) in extra innings to close out the three-game series at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.
 
DJ Miller put the Lions on the board in the first inning as he poked an-RBI double down the left field line to make it 1-0.  Pittsburg State tied the game in the top of the fourth with an unearned run to make it 1-1.  Blake Beckmann pitched a strong game for the Lions as he allowed just one earned run on three hits in his 3 2/3 innings of work.
 
Each team had its chance at taking the lead in the later innings, but the game went into extra innings.  Pittsburg State broke the tie in the top of the 10th with four runs to win the game 5-2 and take the season series.
