No. 14 Men’s Lacrosse Dealt 13-7 Loss at No. 11 Seton Hill

The No. 14 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday afternoon at No. 11 Seton Hill from Greensburg, Pa. Lindenwood's Landon Schuster set a new single-game career-high with 15 saves, coming just one shy of equaling the single-game program record of 16.

GAME OVERVIEW
Garret Brunsvold opened the scoring in the game, giving the Lions an early 1-0 lead after just 1:44 of play. Seton Hill evened the score just 64 seconds later at 1-1. Lindenwood scored the final two goals of the quarter, and carried a 3-1 edge into the second frame. Leonard Jones and Colin Domek had the goals for the Lions.

Following an early second-quarter goal for Seton Hill, Lindenwood extended its lead to a 5-2 lead with just under 13 minutes remaining in the first half. Brunsvold notched his second goal of the game at the 13:21 mark of the quarter, and Sean Darroch followed with his first score of the afternoon just 35 seconds later.

Seton Hill closed the half on a 5-1 scoring run, and took a 7-6 lead into the break.

The Griffins controlled play over the final two quarters, limiting Lindenwood to just one third-quarter score from Carter Collins. Seton Hill scored six times over the final two periods, bringing the game to its final score of 13-7.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Domek and Brunsvold each scored two goals for the Lions.
- Brunsvold dished out one assist to finish the game with a team-leading three-point effort.
- Schuster's 15-save performance was the second-most single-game saves in program history, and helped to establish a new career-high mark.
- Collins led the way for the Lions with seven ground balls.
- Bryan Bevelhimer and Collin each caused two turnovers to pace Lindenwood defensively.
- The Lions were 19-of-23 on their clear attempts in the game.
- For the game, Lindenwood outshot Seton Hill by a 42-38 margin.
