The Lindenwood football team held its first practice of spring ball on Wednesday at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
Â
Head Coach
Jed Stugart was pleased with the energy and enthusiasm on the first day of practice.
Â
"Awesome! It was one of our best days of practice to open up spring ball," said Stugart. "All of the players and coaches were ready to go and we did a lot of the little things well, which is a big part of our program."
Â
The Lions were in helmets and shoulder pads on Wednesday, and the team was lively from the beginning. The practice consisted of individual stations as well as offense vs defense team work. Recently promoted defensive coordinator
Eric Inama introduced a new defense on Wednesday, and Stugart was thrilled with the response of the players.
Â
"We had guys flying to the ball, and that is a wonderful thing to see when you change up the style of play."
Â
Lindenwood will hold 14 practices before playing its spring game on Thursday, April 18 at Hunter Stadium. The Lions will have one weekend practice as Saturday, April 13 which will also be the third-annual
Jed Stugart Coaches Clinic from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
