The No. 5 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team posted a 22-0 victory over the Adams State Grizzlies on Wednesday evening from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. With the victory, Lindenwood improves its record to a perfect 8-0 to begin the 2019 campaign.
GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood wasted no time grabbing an early 1-0 lead, as
Sarah Cromer assisted
Hailey Gallant just six seconds into play. Gallant's goal to begin the game at the six-second mark halved the previous program record of 12 seconds, set by Morgan Judd on Mar. 21, 2017.
The Lions offense would not be contained, as the team quickly established a 10-0 lead after 10:09 of play. Lindenwood would add seven more goals to its total before halftime, as the team entered the break with a 17-0 lead.
Lindenwood netted five goals during the second half, including two from
Abby Hagberg, to move the game to its final count of 22-0.

Gracie Pine led all goal scorers for Lindenwood with a four-goal performance, her third game this season with at least four scores.
- Lindenwood had four other scorers finish the evening with three goals apiece.
- Gallant scored three goals, and assisted on four others to finish with a seven-point effort. Gallant has two separate seven-point games this season, and three in her career.
- Cromer had a career-best performance as she registered the first points of her season in the win. Cromer ended the game with an even three goals and three assists.
- Hagberg picked up three goals for the fourth time this season, and also accounted for a season-high five points.

Carly Fedorowski notched her sixth hat trick of the season, as she scored three times. Fedorowski also assisted on one goal.

Ellie Faulk,
Meghan Rea, and
Paige Sutton each found the back of the net two times for the Lions.
- Faulk secured a team-high six draw controls.

Emma Wildhart and Fedorowski each caused two turnovers to pace Lindenwood defensively.Â

Aly Smith did not see any shots on goal in the game, but did earn her second career shutout and eighth win of the season.
- The shutout by the Lions was the fourth in program history, and the first since Lindenwood blanked Westminster on Mar. 18, 2017.
