The No. 18 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team was defeated 12-6 at No. 14 Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon in Kansas City, Mo. The loss moves the Lions record to 9-5 on the season.
GAME OVERVIEW
Rockhurst scored the first three goals of th e game and held a 3-0 advantage until the 4:03 mark of the first quarter. At that time,
Sean Darroch assisted
Ethan Noel for Lindenwood's first score of the game, which sliced the Rockhurst lead to 3-1. The Hawks would score once more before the end of the quarter.
Garrett Brunsvold scored the lone second-quarter goal for the Lions with just over three minutes before halftime, bringing the score to 4-2 in favor of Rockhurst. The Hawks scored just 64 second later to reestablish their three-goal lead which remained until the end of the second period.
Rockhurst outscored Lindenwood by a 5-2 margin in the third quarter, and saw its lead extend to 10-4.
Bryce Horstman and
Grant Glazier were the goal scorers for the Lions in the third period.
Leonard Jones and
Chase Showalter each found the back of the net once for Lindenwood in the final frame, but the Lions never got within fewer than five goals of the Hawks. Lindenwood ultimately fell by a final score of 12-6.

- Noel was the only Lion with more than one point, as he finished the afternoon with one goal and one assist.
